De gevaren van AI<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In mijn laatste blog heb ik de nadruk gelegd op zegeningen van AI<\/strong>: de manieren waarop AI de effici\u00ebntie verbetert, innovatie stimuleert en industrie\u00ebn transformeert. Maar AI is niet zonder gevaren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wanneer mensen de risico's van AI bespreken, draait het gesprek vaak om banenverlies of de nauwkeurigheid van door AI gegenereerde content. Hoewel deze zorgen terecht zijn, raken ze slechts het topje van de ijsberg van de echte uitdagingen die AI met zich meebrengt. Vooral als het gaat om compliance, regelgeving en juridische verantwoordelijkheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcdc Het antwoord van de EU: strengere AI-regelgeving<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De Europese Unie heeft de urgentie van AI-governance erkend en heeft hierop gereageerd met een reeks krachtige regelgevingen, waaronder:
\u2705 De AI-wet<\/strong> \u2013 Het defini\u00ebren van risicocategorie\u00ebn en nalevingsverplichtingen voor AI-systemen.
\u2705 De Digital Services Act (DSA)<\/strong> \u2013 Regelt de verantwoordelijkheid van online platforms voor de gepubliceerde content.
\u2705 De Digital Markets Act (DMA)<\/strong> \u2013 Zorgen voor eerlijke concurrentie op digitale markten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deze wetten doen meer dan alleen regels opstellen. Ze zijn een directe reactie op een groeiend gebrek aan controle over door AI gegenereerde content en de toenemende risico's van ongeverifieerde AI-resultaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u26a0\ufe0f Het gevaar van ongecontroleerde AI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Recente beslissingen van grote dataplatformen om de verificatie van inhoud en nalevingscontroles voor door AI gegenereerde resultaten af te schaffen, hebben \u00e9\u00e9n ding duidelijk gemaakt: AI is slechts zo goed als de gegevens waarmee het wordt getraind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zonder deze waarborgen:
\u274c Gegevensbronnen kunnen feitelijk onjuist zijn<\/strong>, wat leidt tot misinformatie.
\u274c Algoritmen kunnen vooroordelen versterken<\/strong>, omdat er geen correctiemechanismen meer zijn.
\u274c AI-beslissingen kunnen ongecontroleerd zijn<\/strong>, wat resulteert in onvoorspelbare en oneerlijke uitkomsten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De praktische gevolgen hiervan kunnen ernstig zijn. AI-gestuurde systemen worden gebruikt in de gezondheidszorg, financi\u00ebn, HR en juridische besluitvorming. Sectoren waar nauwkeurigheid en eerlijkheid ononderhandelbaar zijn. Wanneer AI niet wordt gecontroleerd, lijden mensen en bedrijven daaronder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfe2 Het directe risico voor bedrijven die AI gebruiken<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hoewel deze zorgen over regelgeving ernstig zijn, ligt het meest directe gevaar voor bedrijven dichter bij huis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als een AI-systeem een verkeerde beslissing neemt, of het nu gaat om verkoop, schadebeoordeling, HR of financi\u00eble transacties, zijn de gevolgen re\u00ebel:
\u26a0\ufe0f Schadeclaims<\/strong> van personen of bedrijven die schade hebben ondervonden van AI-gestuurde beslissingen.
\u26a0\ufe0f Juridische procedures<\/strong> om onjuiste beslissingen op basis van AI-aanbevelingen ongedaan te maken.
\u26a0\ufe0f Reputatieschade<\/strong> vanwege bevooroordeelde, onethische of misleidende AI-resultaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alleen al om die reden moeten bedrijven ervoor zorgen dat de AI-toepassingen die zij gebruiken, worden begrepen, worden gemonitord en voldoen aan de EU-regelgeving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd0d Het bewustzijnstekort: weten bedrijven eigenlijk wel dat ze AI gebruiken?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Een korte rondgang langs bedrijven die AI-toepassingen gebruiken op het gebied van verkoop, claimbeoordeling en HRM bracht een verrassende waarheid aan het licht:
\ud83d\udccc Veel professionals nauwelijks beseffen dat AI wordt gebruikt<\/strong> in hun processen.
\ud83d\udccc Er is weinig kennis van de wettelijke vereisten<\/strong> voor AI-toepassingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit gebrek aan bewustzijn is gevaarlijk. Zonder begrip van hoe AI werkt, de beperkingen ervan en de wettelijke vereisten, stellen bedrijven zichzelf bloot aan ernstige risico's.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\ude80 Een eenvoudige en snelle oplossing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Het goede nieuws? Het beoordelen van AI-risico's en naleving hoeft niet ingewikkeld te zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bedrijven kunnen op een snelle en eenvoudige manier het volgende evalueren:
\u2705 Het risicoprofiel<\/strong> van de AI-systemen die ze gebruiken.
\u2705 De nalevingsvereisten<\/strong> onder de EU AI-wet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met een proactieve aanpak kunnen bedrijven zichzelf beschermen tegen juridische risico's, vertrouwen opbouwen bij gebruikers en ervoor zorgen dat hun AI-toepassingen ethisch verantwoord, nauwkeurig en in overeenstemming met de regelgeving blijven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
